Ross Wallace may well reflect fondly on his time with Preston but there is no room for sentiment this weekend, according to the in-form winger.
Wallace spent two years at Deepdale between 2008 and 2010, which included a top six finish in 2008/09.
The 30-year-old initially signed on loan for the Lilywhites in August 2008 before making that move permanent the following January.
He said: “I have good memories there, we had a small squad, a tight squad and we managed to get into the play-offs.
“I had a great time down there, the fans were good to me but the thing is, when Saturday comes I want to win.
“I’ve always looked out for my former clubs’ results, I think everybody does. They did unbelievably well last year to get back up.
“They’ve had a tricky last couple of weeks and will be looking to put things right this weekend but we can’t let that happen.
“On paper, people will look at it as a home banker but we know that is not the case.”
