‘The giant is waking,’ is how Carlos Carvalhal has described Sheffield Wednesday.

While Carvalhal plots the route to a fourth straight win this weekend, the head coach has said the giant is stirring once again.
He explained: “It’s good for Sheffield Wednesday because the name of the club is in the news.
“We win in Newcastle and the impact is not just in England, it had international impact.
“All people in the world follow English football and when we defeated Newcastle, the name of Sheffield Wednesday was all over the world.
“I received a newspaper from a Portuguese friend and he showed me the last page was about that win.
“I’m very happy because we are in a very good way, the confidence of the club and the fans is high.
“I think we are waking up the giant. This is very important and we are very happy about that.
“Football all the time is about dreams and expectations and in this moment everybody has dreams and expectations.”
