Joe Wildsmith was an unused substitute as the England Under-20s came from behind to beat Turkey 2-1 in the Mercedes-Benz Elite Cup clash this weekend.
The Owls’ goalkeeper played all but the last eight minutes in the Three Lions’ tournament opener against Holland last Tuesday, which England won 3-1.
Wildsmith and his team mates are now preparing for next Tuesday’s showdown with host nation Germany, knowing that victory will ensure they win the competition.
The game takes place at the Arena Heidenheim and kick-off is 3.00pm local time.
