Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Joe Wildsmith has been called into the England Under-21 squad to play Kazakhstan on Tuesday 13 October at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry.
The 19-year-old made his debut for the Three Lions Under-20s last week in their 3-1 win over Holland in the Mercedes-Benz Elite Cup, staged in Germany.
Wildsmith will now fly back to England and link up with Gareth Southgate’s squad for their clash with Kazakhstan.
The Owls’ academy product replaces Manchester City’s Angus Gunn who withdrew through injury for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifier.
The game kicks off at 5:45pm and tickets for the game are priced at £10 for adults, £5 for concessions and a £20 family ticket for two adults and two children.
