Kieran Lee has caught the eye and earned the plaudits in his last two outings, according to Carlos Carvalhal.
The midfield ace has produced back to back energetic performances and Carvalhal says he is an important player for the team.
“Lee in the last match ran almost 13km which is something amazing,” the head coach said. “He understands what the team needs in all the moments.
“Kieran has been absolutely fantastic in the last two matches. It was fantastic how he ran, how he played, how he attacked and defended."
The head coach went on to explain how valuable a player of Lee’s quality is to the team and added:
“Players like Lee and Barry Bannan are very similar, they have antennas on their brain!
“They are players who understand exactly what the team needs, they are workers and they run a lot.
“Coaches need these type of players. Also the team are working well and when that happens, it’s easier for them to move and receive the ball and to defend and attack.”
