Carlos reviews Brentford triumph

26 September 2015

Carlos Carvalhal conceded that the Owls got ‘a little lucky’ with the late win at Brentford but was grateful for the points after perhaps not getting what they deserved at the likes of Burnley and Bolton in recent weeks.

Wednesday snatched victory at the last through a Lucas Joao strike after Alan Judge cancelled out Atdhe Nuhiu’s opener in West London.

The fortune was converse to that at Turf Moor and the Macron Stadium, as Carvalhal acceded after the game:

“We got a little lucky today, not a big lucky, because we were not so lucky against Burnley and not so lucky against Bolton.

“In those two games we had so many chances to win but we didn’t and in this game today we didn’t have so many chances but we won and that is football.

“Do I think a draw was a far result? Probably….but I thought a draw was not going to be the fair result at Burnley because we should have won the game but we lost 3-1.

“We then should have won at Bolton but we drew the game, so today maybe we could have drawn the game but we won.”
