17-year-old Brad Fox has scooped a national student award that recognises his outstanding commitment to learning, Futsal and helping the Community Programme’s disability team.
Brad, who studies on the SWFC Education Programme’s BTEC Level Three Extended Diploma in Sports, won the Student of the Year title at the Football League Trust Education and Futsal awards.
Brad stood out for his hard work and his ability to go above and beyond expectations.
The second year student has completed volunteering for the scheme and works with the Sheffield Wednesday Ability Counts disability team and introduced them to futsal. He has done this at the same time as studying for his BTEC qualification, working towards his FA Level One coaching award and holding down a part time job.
Rachael Jenkins, tutor on the Education Programme, said: “Brad shows very good leadership qualities and is very popular among his fellow students because of his energetic, bright, hardworking and humble personality.
“He is consistently active in classroom discussions and always steps up to help his fellow students. Well done, Brad!”
