Owls host table tennis workplace challenge

8 September 2015

Sheffield businesses are being invited to Hillsborough for a one-off table tennis tournament on Friday 25 September from 6 – 10pm.

The workplace challenge, hosted by the Sheffield Wednesday Community Programme and in partnership with Table Tennis England and Cash for Kids, will see local organisations battle it out to see who claims the table tennis title.

No matter the level of experience, companies can enter teams of three to the challenge for just £30. All money raised will go towards the club’s Community programme and children’s charity, Cash for Kids.

As well as taking part in the challenge participants will also enjoy a pie and peas supper and automatically be entered into a raffle for a chance to win exciting prizes.

Friends, family and fans are all welcome to come and support your team. Food and a fully licensed bar is available for spectators.

Matt Bray, Social Inclusion Manager for the Community Programme, said: “We can’t wait to welcome local businesses to the event. It’s a really good way to have fun with your colleagues outside of work time at the same time as raising money for charity.”
