It may only be in its infancy but there were plenty of positive signs in the partnership of Fernando Forestieri and Atdhe Nuhiu, according to Tom Lees.
The forward duo demonstrated an excellent understanding of one another’s game at Turf Moor on Saturday and Lees says they will get even better.
He explained: “I thought they both played really well and will be disappointed they didn’t score more goals.
“Obviously Atdhe scored one but he’ll be disappointed he didn’t get more and Fernando will be disappointed not to have got a debut goal.
“They looked impressive together, caused Burnley a lot of problems and had some nice link-up play.”
With a trip to Bolton tomorrow, Lees is aiming to put behind him the frustrations of defeat to Burnley and he continued:
“Hopefully we can get that clean sheet on Tuesday for us boys at the back and hopefully the lads up front can grab a few goals to boost everyone’s confidence.”
