These are the moments

27 September 2015

Thrilled with three points from Saturday’s clash with Brentford, Atdhe Nuhiu says these moments are what football is all about.

Lucas Joao’s late goal sparked scenes of huge celebration from the visiting Wednesdayites at Griffin Park.

Nuhiu, who had earlier given Wednesday the lead from the penalty spot in the first half, told the Owls’ official website after the 2-1 win:

“These are the moments we live for in football. I always enjoy these moments with the supporters, it’s what football is all about.

“The fans are so important to us, we win with them and we lose with them. They are a big part of this team.

“I felt confident taking the penalty, it was a good moment for the players and fans. We want that feeling every week.”

It’s becoming somewhat of a tradition for Nuhiu to lead the post-match celebrations with the supporters in his own special way.

Explaining the celebration today in West London, he added:

“The fans have seen it before. It is one I have taken from Europe when I played at Rapid Vienna and the fans love to join in with it.

“Daniel Pudil joined in today but by the end of the season we need the whole team to join in! But I will keep going with it.”
