Owls fans can now vote for their swfc.co.uk September Player of the Month.

And there are certainly no shortage of candidates after a terrific period for Wednesday.

Having begun September with a frustrating 3-1 defeat away at Burnley following the international break, the Owls went on to post at point at Bolton with a 0-0 draw.

But the best was still to come as Wednesday went on to register three wins on the spin in all competitions.

First up, the Owls overcame Fulham 3-2 at Hillsborough with Fernando Forestieri and Michael Turner on target in their home debut, as well as Tom Lees for his second of the term.

Attention then turned to the Capital One Cup where Wednesday upset Newcastle United on the road.

A late Lewis McGugan strike settled the cup-tie to the delight of the 5,000 Wednesdayites up high at St James’ Park.

The success has set up a mouth-watering fourth round tie with Premier League giants Arsenal at Hillsborough.

Wednesday’s fine run continued at Griffin Park on Saturday for the final game of the month with goals from Atdhe Nuhiu and Lucas Joao sealing a dramatic victory in West London.

Nuhiu’s first half penalty conversion was cancelled out by Alan Judge after the break and it seemed the points would be shared.

But at the last, Joao bagged his first Championship goal to sting the Bees as the Owls claimed a 2-1 win.

As ever, the winner will be decided by you, the supporters!
