VIDEO: 'Play our own game'

1 April 2016

Jack Hunt is looking forward to returning to his old club this weekend as the Owls face Huddersfield at The John Smith’s Stadium.

The Wednesday full back began his career with the Terriers having risen up through their academy before making his debut in the 2010/11 campaign after loan spells at Grays and Chesterfield.

On Saturday, Hunt expects a tough examination of the Owls’ top six credentials and he explained:

“They use the ball very well and get a lot of passes in. We’ll have to go there and adapt to that but most importantly, play our own game,” he said.

“They are coming together really well, obviously they are my old team so I keep an eye on their results.

“Next season I think you will see even more of a push from them because the manager will have had a full pre-season to get his thoughts across but credit to the players because they have bought into his ideas very quickly.

“But we’ve picked up away from home recently and hopefully that can continue.”

And Hunt says the mood in the camp is upbeat and buoyant following back to back wins and the international break and he continued:

“We started the week without a couple of the lads who were with their national teams but they’ve come back after some good results and they’re full of confidence.

“The manager has said we need the full squad available so it’s good to have everyone fit and raring to go.”
