The Owls were defeated by Cambridge United in the first round of the EFL Cup, losing 2-1 at The Cambs Glass Stadium.
Lucas Joao had given the Owls the lead but a late equaliser from Pietro Mingoia and an extra time winner from Luke Berry settled the contest.
