Owls fans are being encouraged to sign up to take part in a programme designed to improve their fitness, health and well-being – the Steel City Fit Club.
The initiative, ran by the club’s Community Programme, has worked with over 100 fans over the last year and seen fans improve their health and fitness thanks to expert coaching and health advice.
The programme, led by former Owls striker John Pearson, is ran over a 12 week period and encourages fans to lead a healthy lifestyle through education and development.
The new cohort will start on Monday 5th September at 6:15 – 8:00pm at Hillsborough Stadium.
Lifelong fan Michael South, who attends the fit club, said: “The programme is a great way to improve fitness and not only that a great way to get health advice. I’ve improved my fitness already and I look forward to going to the sessions every week!”
The Fit Club comes under Sport England and Sporta’s ‘Make Your Move’ programme and works to get more women, older people and inactive groups into sport.
