Owls hit for six

23 August 2016

The Owls’ Under-18s suffered a home humbling at the hands of a strong QPR side, going down to a 6-1 defeat.

The visitors ran into a 5-0 lead before George Hirst registered, only for the Londoners to promptly make it six.

Rangers were two goals to the good at half time through Michael Klass and Mickel Platt before ramping up the pressure after the break.

Further strikes followed from Klass and Darnell Goather-Braithewaite before Rhys Springer-Downes and Ody Alfa completed the rout.

The Owls will seek to make amends in their next outing this Saturday when they take the short hop to local rivals Barnsley.
