The SWFC name and official club crest

25 August 2016

In recent months, the club has noted a rise in the number of businesses and individuals seeking to profit from the use of our official crest.

Such activity is in breach of our trademark and all parties concerned are reminded that any unauthorised use of the Sheffield Wednesday crest constitutes a recognised offence.
In tandem with all professional football clubs, we work closely with Trading Standards around the country to ensure that upon discovery, all illegal items are confiscated and those responsible for their manufacture taken to task through the respective channels.
Supporters can assist the club in this ongoing task by purchasing only official SWFC merchandise and reporting any counterfeit goods encountered by emailing in the strictest of confidence.

For the avoidance of doubt, our crest, name - or adaptation of either - cannot be used in any shape of form without express permission from executive level at Sheffield Wednesday.
Anyone wishing to produce items incorporating our name and logo should contact the club to discuss a commercial licence agreement.
Thank you for your co-operation.
