Christmas came early for Dean Ramsdale and his academy charges as they took delivery of a brand new minibus at Middlewood Road.
The timing could hardly have been better too as the Owls’ Under-14s travelled to St George’s Park in style for a recent Round Robin tournament with Birmingham and Exeter.
The bus was funded by the Owls Foundation, an exclusive members’ lottery from which all profits are channelled into youth development at Hillsborough.
Academy manager Ramsdale said: “It’s great to receive this level of support from such a fantastic organisation.
“The new minibus has provided even more opportunities to move forward with the programme and something we will get valuable use from on a daily basis.
“It was perfect timing for the tournament organised by the FA at St George’s and we are all very grateful to the Owls Foundation and their loyal members for their ongoing support.”
