Carlos takes the positives from Tigers stalemate

Following the Owls' goalless draw with Hull City on Friday evening at The KC Stadium, Carlos Carvalhal believes there are plenty of positives to take.

Against the Sky Bet Championship leaders, Wednesday more than stood up to the test and left East Yorkshire with a merited point.

The feeling post-match was that it was a good point gained for the Owls and the head coach said:

“It was a good point absolutely, we play against probably the strongest team in the competition.

“They have good organisation, good coach, good players but I think we showed we are a strong team also.

“We show our quality, we show our organisation, we moved some players because we needed to.

“In the defence, we moved three but they were fantastic.

“In the first half I thought we were more dangerous than Hull and were all the time dangerous.”

The game and point at The KC was marred by the stoppage time dismissal of Fernando Forestieri and Carlos continued:

“The bad part is that we now lose Fernando for two games but the good part is we win a point, we show we are a strong team and we have fantastic support because our fans again were absolutely amazing.”
