The Sheffield Wednesday Community Programme is set to host a series of Soccer Camps for Young Owls aged 5 – 14 over the Easter period.
The camps are designed to introduce children to the basics of football, training drills and tournaments at the same time as having fun and making new friends.
Owls right back, Liam Palmer, who attended the club’s Soccer Camps as a youngster, said: “I went to SWFC Soccer Camps and I loved them. I learnt foundation skills and made new friends. After taking part I went on to play for Sheffield Wednesday at under 18s level and I now play in the first team so it’s all worked out quite well!”
The camps are ran across two sites and are available to book on for one or two weeks. Camps held at Middlewood Road training ground run from Monday 21 – Thursday 24 March and Tuesday 29 March – Friday 1 April, priced at £40 for one week and £75 for both.
Children can also enjoy the Easter camp held at Retford Oaks High School from Monday 4th – 8th April for £45.
