The Sheffield Wednesday Ability Counts Under-16s have enjoyed victory after winning the Sheffield and Hallamshire FA People’s Cup last week.
As well as beating local rivals Sheffield United and Rotherham United, the Sheffield Wednesday disability team saw off four other teams and walked away champions.
Sam Firth, disability officer at the Sheffield Wednesday Community Programme, said: “This is a great achievement for the team and the coaching team and the player’s parents are all really proud of the team.”
The team have progressed to the Regional Peoples Cup Final in Hull at the end of the month.
