Owls feel the power of Hillsborough

23 February 2016

One of this season’s big positives for Tom Lees is the difference in results at Hillsborough.

Compared with last season, Wednesday have already won twice as many games on home soil (10) and scored double the amount of goals (32).

A superb statistic given that seven home games still remain in 2015/16.

Lees says the Owls must continue to maintain their stronghold at Hillsborough.

“We’ve got to carry that on, starting tonight,” he said.

“Home form is the mainstay of most teams, if you can get good home form you will do well.

“We’ve turned that around since last season because last season we were disappointing at home.”

Lees is taking nothing for granted this evening as QPR travel to S6.

While results have been mixed for the Loftus Road outfit, Lees is well aware of QPR's capabilities and he continued:

“QPR have got players that can change the game in an instant, they have got lots of ability but they are inconsistent for a reason.

“There are things we can exploit but there are things we have to be wary of. We are confident going into the game but we won’t underestimate them.”
