There is plenty to be happy about at Hillsborough as things stand.
Wednesday are top of the form table over the past ten games and are the highest scorers in the Sky Bet Championship heading into this weekend’s clash with Preston.
While Carlos Carvalhal is happy with the progress and how things stand, the head coach says the challenge to the players is always to improve.
He explained: “It’s a challenge to all of us. It’s challenge for us to win the games and a challenge for the opponent to try to beat us.
“But this is normal in football, we are playing well and we are scoring goals.
“If you ask me can we improve things in our team, I will tell you that we can improve a lot of things.
“We are far from perfection, even though we are at a good level, there are things we must improve and do better and this, along with the next game, is always our focus.”
Given the dynamic of the team and the positive environment at the club, Carlos believes the goals and victories are coming as a natural consequence and he continued:
“Something we said form the very beginning, if you remember, is that we would try to play good football, we try to entertain our fans and try to score goals.
“At this moment we are one of the best teams in the division when it comes to scoring goals and that is important because it is something that we said in public at the beginning.
“These things are happening naturally in my opinion but we must focus on the process and the process is all the time working on things that we can improve.”
