Owls look towards Tigers test

24 February 2016

The games get no easier in the Sky Bet Championship and the Hull clash on Friday underlines that point.

Wednesday travel to the KC Stadium for their third game in six days to face the Tigers, who are top of the table.

The Owls posted a point against QPR at Hillsborough on Tuesday evening in a game that saw Carlos Carvalhal make one change, with Aiden McGeady replacing the suspended Fernando Forestieri.

Looking ahead to Friday’s fixture in front of the Sky Sports cameras, Carlos said:

“Lets see, we didn’t do too many changes since the Preston game because we didn’t need to. The players were OK and didn’t feel any kind of problems.

“We’ll see between now and Friday if all the players are ready or not and after we will make our decisions.

“It’s a little different because this is the third game in six days. There are players that recover better than others, there are players who have had little kicks and some who have small problems but we will see.”

As previously mentioned, Forestieri missed out in the clash against the R’s due to suspension.

The 26-year-old will be back available for selection on Friday and the head coach added: “We will make the decisions but I can be sure absolutely that we will be playing with a strong team.”
