After extending his contract on Thursday at Hillsborough, Atdhe Nuhiu says he is ready to continue with the mission.
That mission is of course to help steer Wednesday back into the Premier League and having signed a new two and a half year deal, Nuhiu is excited for the future.
He said: “I came here with a mission and the mission isn’t finished yet.
“I’m very proud and honoured that I can continue and hopefully finish what we have started.
“We all know where we want to take this club and that is to the Premier League. That is the mission.
“Obviously it isn’t easy but we are in a very good way and we are fighting for this.
“Hopefully in the end we will be happy with what we have achieved here.”
Wednesday have begun 2016 with three wins from three and Nuhiu is hoping that the Owls can continue on in the same vein.
Ahead of Saturday’s clash with Yorkshire rivals Leeds at Hillsborough – where the Owls are unbeaten in 12 games – he said:
“We have a really good group of players and characters and it makes it very comfortable to play in this team.
“Every player is playing to their maximum every day in training and you can really feel it.”
