Atdhe’s Hillsborough wish

11 January 2016

Owls striker Atdhe Nuhiu says he has no preference on opposition in the next round of the FA Cup but is hoping to be drawn at Hillsborough.

Nuhiu’s second half strike sealed Wednesday’s progress to the fourth round on Saturday against Fulham.

Barry Bannan had earlier put the Owls ahead in spectacular fashion before the visitors restored parity.

On tonight’s cup draw, he said: “I don't care who we get in the next round. I just hope we play at home.

“At a full Hillsborough, we would be very hard to beat.”

The big man came on with 30 minutes left on the clock and played a pivotal role in the third round clash.

He added: “It was a difficult game but we got better as it went on and got the job done.

"I was hoping the ball would drop to where I am and then it was a bit of instinct.

“With those type of goals, it if goes in, it's a beauty. If it goes wrong, it is over the stadium. In the last three games, I think we have scored three beauties!

"It was a nice goal. But it wasn't as nice as Bannan's!"
