Each game as it comes

29 January 2016

Fernando Forestieri says the Owls are fully focused on Saturday’s trip to Shrewsbury at the Greenhous Meadow.

The Owls make the trip west for the Emirates FA Cup fourth round clash and it kick-starts a busy week for Wednesday.

Following the weekend cup-tie, the Owls have a top of the table clash with Burnley on Tuesday but for Forestieri, it’s important to take each game as they come.

“This weekend we are playing in the FA Cup and we have to think just about this match, and after that then we can look towards Tuesday,” Forestieri told swfc.co.uk.

“It’s an important match for us as we want to win every game we play in, and we will try to make sure we are at our best.”

Forestieri is expecting a tough few months ahead as the Owls seek to build on their strong start to 2016 and cement their place as promotion contenders.

He added: “Everyone thinks about going to the Premier League, but in the Championship it is so difficult.

“The important thing to get into the play-offs is to work together and do that every single match.

“I want to play the maximum amount of games and try to help my team as much as I can.”
