Hunt happy to be home

13 January 2016

Jack Hunt has expressed his delight at signing a permanent contract with Sheffield Wednesday.

The 25-year-old has penned a three and a half year deal with the Owls after enjoying a successful loan spell from Crystal Palace.

“Ever since I came here it’s felt like home and now I can actually call it home so it’s brilliant news for myself,” he told swfc.co.uk.

“I just wanted to come here and do as well as I could to help the team, but when there was the chance to make it permanent, I expressed my desire to do that.”

Drafted in from Premier League side Palace on a season-long loan in July 2015, Hunt was one of 15 recruits to join Wednesday in the summer transfer window.

He said: “I’ve come in with a lot of new players at the start of the season, but the chairman has found a great group and put it together.

“I think you can tell with how we are performing on the pitch; we’re playing exciting football and the ambition is really there.

“The manager has to take great credit in the way he has structured his training and how he is around the place.

“The dressing room takes care of itself, there is a great bunch in there and I’m delighted to be a part of it.”
