Carlos Carvalhal praised his team’s motivation after the Owls’ 2-0 derby day victory over Leeds at Hillsborough.
Gary Hooper scored two goals on the final appearance of his loan spell from Norwich to secure a fifth consecutive home win for the Owls.
Carvalhal said: “Once again I am very pleased with the team’s performance.
“The whole team contributed to the result of the game and they showed a lot of quality.
“The important thing for the team is motivation, as this is what happens when you win games, and we need to keep motivated to make sure we keep improving.”
The head coach was pleased his side could continue their impressive home form to repay the fans for their support.
He added: “When I first came here the number one objective was to play football that was good to watch.
“I think we are doing this, and that is why the fans support us.
“It is important to play well at home and win games because the fans are paying for a ticket, so they deserve to watch good football.
“I am looking forward to the next part of the season as I think we will be even stronger.”
