Owls in the Park this Sunday!

15 July 2016

Sheffield Wednesday’s annual family fun day Owls in the Park takes place this Sunday, 17 July, when the club - in conjunction with the SWFC Community Programme – will host more activities, entertainment and attractions than ever before.

The annual event will welcome a full sand beach where families can enjoy the summer sun and enjoy a day of entertainment from event partners Hallam FM, who will be curating the main stage for the duration of the event.

The popular radio station will be hosting music, competitions, games, interviews and much more.

Other attractions include a medieval re-enactment, the county’s biggest dog show with Support Dogs, craft stalls, animal displays, dance performances and magic shows.

A whole range of food and drink stalls will be available on the day, together with a fully licensed bar.

As always, Wednesdayites will also have the first chance of the summer to meet the players and enjoy photo and autograph opportunities.

For the third year running charity partner Royal Society for the Blind will be hosting a teddy bear parachute to help raise money and awareness for the charity. If you have any brave teddies or toys who would like to take part in the event please bring them along.

They will all receive a bravery certificate and each owner will receive a bag of teddy bear sweets as a thank you!

Further information on the teddy/toy parachute can be found at www.srsb.org.uk. Or you can call Sue or Jane on 0114 272 2757 or email fundraising@srsb.org.uk

A host of charities, including Support Dogs, Bluebell Wood, St. Luke’s Hospice and The Royal Society for the Blind will be attending Hillsborough Park and holding stalls and activities to raise money and awareness.

The free event, organised in conjunction with the Sheffield Wednesday Community Programme, Sheffield City Council and Hallam FM, attracts thousands of people to S6, with something for all the family to enjoy.

Owls in the Park 2016 will run from 11.00am to 5.30pm…see you there!
