The Owls Under-21s began their pre-season fixture programme with a 2-1 victory away at Wigan on Wednesday lunchtime.
Sean Clare sprung the offside trap just before the half hour mark to give the visitors the advantage and had a hand in the second ten minutes before the break, delivering an inviting cross for Rui Batalha to slot home from close range.
