Sheffield Wednesday are pleased to announce that 2016/17 Season Tickets are back on sale – with prices frozen for one month at the Early Bird band set earlier this year.
Over 15,000 supporters have already committed to a Season Ticket for the next campaign, firstly through the hugely successful and innovative Advance Saver initiative in January, and then the standard Early Bird period.
Now, as a gesture of thanks following the outstanding support throughout 2015/16 and in particular during the heartbreaking play-off final defeat to Hull last Saturday, chairman Dejphon Chansiri has pledged that the Early Bird price will be re-introduced throughout the month of June, with a deadline of Friday 1 July.
He told swfc.co.uk: “I am pleased to make this one-off gesture at this time following an exciting regular season at Hillsborough before the amazing atmosphere against Brighton in the play-offs.
“But then came the most incredible scenes at Wembley on Saturday, when despite losing the game to Hull, we all witnessed a level of support rarely, if ever seen before.
“Those scenes of passion mirrored my complete commitment to our club, which I desperately want to see competing back in the Premier League. It was not to be this year but we must regroup together and bring that Wembley spirit to Hillsborough.
“I want – we all want – as many supporters as possible on the next stage of our journey and I hope that by keeping the Season Ticket prices the same as the Early Bird price, this can help make the difference.”
The Early Bird Season Ticket for 2016/17 is guaranteed as the cheapest way to watch Wednesday at Hillsborough, with prices starting from just £455 on the Kop for adults and concessions set at £255.
Junior under 11 Season Tickets are priced at £75 while young Owls under 17 pay only £150.
Discounted junior Season Tickets are available once more in the popular Family Area of the Grandstand with under 11s able to watch every game in S6 for as little as £45 and under 17s £90.
Supporters can also benefit from two finance options to help spread the cost - for those who wish to pay over six months, the club have again partnered with industry expert V12 Retail Finance, with full details to be confirmed shortly.
Alternatively, those purchasing by Owls MasterCard can benefit from nine months’ interest-free credit.**
