The Sheffield Wednesday Community Programme are set to see a raft of benefits and improved resources thanks to a generous donation from the Owls supporters group, Wednesdayite.
The Community Programme received an impressive £10,000 from Wednesdayite and thanks to the donation more students will now be able to gain access to more computers and learning material.
As well as helping to provide more computers to enable more one on one support, the money will also be used to buy more Sheffield Wednesday kit for students and develop the classroom space at the ground.
Wednesdayite director Paul Holmes said: "We’re pleased to be able to support SWCCP with this donation. We hope it goes a long way to supporting the very successful education programme and supporting the IT requirements of the students. "
Spencer Taylor, CSR manager for the Community Programme, said: “The donation is greatly received by and now more students will be able to benefit from one to one support and better access to computers. We are so grateful and would like to thank them for their generous contribution.”
