Back with new energy

31 March 2016

Carlos Carvalhal says his players will return to action on Saturday with a new energy.

Following the international break, the Owls resume their Championship campaign with a Yorkshire derby against Huddersfield at The John Smith’s Stadium.

Refreshed and ready to go again with eight games left to play, the head coach said:

“It was good, not just to us but to all the teams in the Championship, because we have a lot of games to play.

“When we have a break we can breathe a little, keep energy, win energy and we can feel this week at the beginning that the players have come back with a new energy.

“I believe we will come back more strong. There were some players in international teams also, so that is good to the club and good to the players. We are very happy with the players.”

And Carlos expects a tough test from the Terriers and a game with plenty of quality this weekend.

He explained: “Like all the matches in the Championship, this will be a tough game.

“They have a lot of quality, they like to play football, they start to play from the back like we do also and I think it will be a quality game.

“It will be a tough game to them and a tough game to us but we are optimists, we are in good shape, we have an energy and we believe we can bring points back from this game.”
