Wednesday were back to winning ways with a bang on Saturday and Gary Hooper says that victory will serve the club well with nine games to go.
The Owls had gone five without victory before heading to The City Ground where they produced an outstanding display from start to finish.
“The win gets us going again,” Hooper said.
“We didn’t change our game and with the way we play and press, we will create chances and we have to take them when they come.
“We had a couple of losses against Rotherham and Preston but I thought we picked up a good point against Hull and then against Brighton.
“We kicked on from the Brighton performance where I thought everybody played well and at Forest we continued to defend well and took our chances when they came.”
Hooper notched his 11th goal of the campaign after slotting home from Fernando Forestieri’s feed and on that partnership, the striker added:
“I think Fernando and I work really well together, we know when to press and when not to press and it showed with the first two goals.”
