Carlos Carvalhal says his players are not only growing in confidence from winning games but also by the manner of the wins.
Reflecting on back to back emphatic Championship victories, the head coach believes the players are taking plenty from the team’s performances too.
He explained: “There are two types of confidence, there is confidence of the win. When we win, we have more confidence absolutely sure.
“But you have confidence also from the way that you play. Confidence doesn’t just come from a win, it comes from how you perform when you win or draw or lose.
“This makes a difference - when you lose and you lose your organisation or miss something very important, it creates a damage.
“But when we are playing with the same style and try to do our football, even if you don’t win, we are still with the confidence.
“It’s why we are a consistent team during the season, very consistent.”
Now with a three-point cushion and potentially vital goal difference advantage over their top six rivals, the Owls will be back in action a week on Saturday away at Huddersfield.
