Wednesday have made many strides forward during the 2015/16 campaign and Daniel Pudil says the next step is the most important.
The Owls are set to face Hull City at Wembley on 28 May with a place in the Premier League at stake.
The left back enjoyed the celebrations on Monday as Wednesday overcame Brighton and now through to the final, Pudil wants to ensure he is on the winning side this time at Wembley.
Pudil was in the Watford side that lost in the play-off final to Crystal Palace in the 2012/13 campaign but wants to go one step further and win that crucial clash later this month.
“The celebrations at the end of the Brighton game were nice but it is not the end,” he said.
“Now we must go to the final and win the game.
“It’s very nice to get to the final but the most important step is the next one. That means winning the game and getting to the Premier League.
“We have one step more to take so we will take a rest, get back to work and be ready for the final.”
