The Owls enjoyed a successful evening at the tenth annual Star Football Awards on Wednesday.
During the ceremony at the Double Tree Hilton Hotel, Wednesday star Fernando Forestieri was named as the SWFC Player of the Year.
From the six local clubs covered by The Star, Owls head coach Carlos Carvalhal scooped the Manager of the Year award, while Sheffield Wednesday were also named as the Team of the Year.
Presented by snooker legend Willie Thorne, alongside BBC and Channel 5 sports broadcaster Paul Walker, there was also an Owls legend inducted into the Star’s Hall of Fame.
25 years on from the club’s famous League Cup victory over Manchester United, hero of that day John Sheridan was presented with the Hall of Fame Award by former Premier League official Keith Hackett.
Congratulations to all!
