Carlos Carvalhal says his players and staff need no reminding about the responsibilities they have while representing Sheffield Wednesday.

Unsurprisingly, the Owls travel to Fulham on Saturday backed by a capacity following of 3,900 Wednesdayites.

As well as the 3,900 in attendance at Craven Cottage, the head coach spoke of the responsibility to Owls fans the world over who will be keeping up to date with every bit of the action on Saturday.

“We will fight to the three points in the game.

“We don’t need any special motivation because as I tell you, when we represent Sheffield Wednesday, we must be with 100% motivation all the time,” he explained.

“You don’t need extra motivation to do anything when you play for this club.

“You must do your job, you must express on the pitch the feeling of the many fans Sheffield Wednesday have all around the world.

“We make these people happy or unhappy in 90 minutes but my players know about that responsibility.”

He continued: “What we want from deep within our hearts is for us to fight a lot to win the game because we know that after the game, there are a lot of people that will be happy if we win.

“My players know all about that. We know what it means to represent this club and the support we have, not just in Sheffield but around the world.”
