Maintaining levels

4 November 2016

Dating way back to the Owls’ 1-1 draw with Brentford in August, Carlos Carvalhal says he has been delighted with the levels to which his side have performed.

In fact, after the fixture at Griffin Park that saw Sam Hutchinson level right at the last, the Owls head coach said that capital clash would be a turning point.

Since then, the Owls have won six from ten games, drawing one and Carlos wants to see that progress continue and explained:

“I want us to be at the same level we have been for many games. Since the Brentford game, we have played all the time in a good level.

“I hope we can increase the efficiency because it has been our problem so far.

“The goals we have scored at the moment don’t represent the quality we are playing and the chances we are creating.”

Firmly believing his players can produce the goods in front of goal, he continued: “We have the players to score the goals inside our house and we are very, very happy with their team work.

“But we need it to click with scoring goals. All the players in the team we believe can score.”
