Barry Bannan and Steven Fletcher could line-up tonight against England at Wembley.
The Wednesday duo were called up to Gordan Strachan’s squad ahead of the crunch Group F fixture against the Three Lions.
With plenty on the line this evening, the eyes of the nation will be glued to the Wembley clash, which kicks off at 7.45pm.
Bannan has been named in the starting XI in all three of Scotland’s World Cup qualifiers.
Fletcher has featured in two, scoring against Malta from the bench and started in the Scot’s 3-0 defeat at Slovakia last time out.
The striker was injury doubt in the build-up to the game, though is expected to recover in time.
Earlier in the week, Bannan told swfc.co.uk: “It’s a massive, massive game for everybody involved. I’m glad and I’m proud that I’ve been picked to be part of it.”
England are top of Group F with seven points, while Scotland are fourth in the table with four points.
