Following a recent article here at swfc.co.uk regarding the club’s support all around the world, many of our overseas fans have since been in touch with us at Hillsborough.
The piece – taken from a section of Carlos Carvalhal’s recent press conference – acknowledged the superb support travelling with Wednesday to Fulham last weekend, while also giving a nod to those following from afar.
Carlos said: “You must do your job, you must express on the pitch the feeling of the many fans Sheffield Wednesday have all around the world.
“My players know about that responsibility. We know that after the game, there are a lot of people that will be happy if we win.”
Since then, Wednesday fans living as far away as America, New Zealand and Australia have messaged the club to thank Carlos for his words and to underline their commitment to the club away from Sheffield.
