Working to improve the team

30 November 2016

Wednesday make a return to Hillsborough this weekend and Carlos Carvalhal wants to see his side’s progress continue against Preston.

The Owls were deserved winners last weekend at Wolves but immediately after the victory at Molineux, Carlos’ attention turned back to the process and on to the next game.

While there have been pleasing aspects from the recent performances on the road, Carlos insists there is plenty of work to do and improvements to be had.

He explained: “You never saw me under pressure when we were in 20th place this season and at the same time I was never euphoric when we were in the top six.

“We are still working, me and my staff are all the time the same; looking to what we can improve.

“In the previous press conference I said that the defensive organisation was good, the defensive transition was good but we must improve the first pass when we go to the attack and the offensive organisation.

“At Wolves we did better and this is our work - we are improving the team and trying to do better. When we do this we believe we can win more games.”
