Charity zip wire across Hillsborough!

19 October 2016

Sheffield Wednesday fans are being given another chance to take part in a unique experience – a giant zip wire across Hillsborough Stadium!

Due to popular demand and its success earlier in the year, the club’s Community Programme are set to host the unique event in November and will give fans the opportunity to raise funds for a charity of their choice.

The course will start from the Kop end and will finish in the Leppings Lane end enabling fans to enjoy Hillsborough from a whole new angle!

The zip wire is £50 per person to enter and fans are encouraged to raise as much money as possible in sponsorship funds for their chosen charity.

The event is being led by former Owls striker John Pearson. John said: “This is a great fundraiser and a lot of fun for all involved. We’re looking forward to raising lots of money and awareness for lots of different charities and causes. It’s a great opportunity and we look forward to welcoming many fans on the day.”

The zip wire is planned to take place on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 November. To register or to find out more information call 0114 221 2150 or e-mail john.pearson@swfc.co.uk
