With a firm belief in the process and the direction of the club, Carlos Carvalhal says confidence is always high in the camp.
Having chalked up five wins from seven, it was put to the head coach during Tuesday’s pre-match press conference that confidence must be high after Sunday’s impressive win at Huddersfield.
Ahead of the long midweek trip to Cardiff, Carlos explained: “The confidence all the time is the same.
“Of course when we win the faces are different from when we lose but the confidence is all the time the same.
“We believe in the process, we know what we are doing, we know this competition and we know we must be ready for everything all the time.”
Given the short turnaround between fixtures, Carlos says the players will be assessed after today’s training, adding:
“We will see how the players act after training today, we will see if the players have recovered or not.
“We’ll check them one by one and see which players we have, understanding that we want them to be at 100%.
“We don’t want to risk losing a player for two or three months, we need the players for a full season and we believe in them all.
“Cardiff have changed a little their style, it will be tough but they know also that we are not an easy team so it will be a very interesting game.”
