Breast Cancer Care are delighted to report a hugely successful afternoon of fundraising at the Owls’ home fixture with QPR last Saturday.
Indeed, generous supporters of both sides raised a fantastic figure of £1,513.60 – the best return ever from a football match for the charity.
Rosie Mellor, Community Fundraiser for Breast Cancer Care, said: “The collection we held at the Sheffield Wednesday v QPR game was fantastic!
“The reception we received from the supporters was brilliant, and we raised £1,513.60, which is the most we have ever raised from a football collection.
“This money will allow us to continue to provide information and support to those affected by breast cancer throughout South Yorkshire, helping us make sure that no one has to face breast cancer alone.”
Sheffield Wednesday would also like to thank the supporters and everyone connected with QPR for the impeccable way in which our tribute to the late King of Thailand was observed.
