Steven Fletcher will be out to continue his impressive scoring run of late as Scotland face Lithuania on Saturday.
The experienced striker goes into the World Cup qualifier in good form having scored four in his last seven for club and country.
With 11 appearances under his belt for the Owls and having settled in well since his summer switch, Fletcher has hailed head coach Carlos Carvalhal and says he is thoroughly enjoying working with the Portuguese.
“He has been fantastic with me,” Fletcher said. “I’ve had a lot of managers but I really respect him.
“He’s good on the training pitch and is a good man-manager. He will come and speak to you and tell you what he thinks.
“He will tell you when things aren’t going right and will be honest with you and tell you what you need to improve which is what you need in football.
“Half the battle is man-management. You have to keep everyone happy as not everybody can go out and play.”
The head coach was one of four nominees to win the Sky Bet Championship Manager of the Month award following a strong September.
On a personal level, Fletcher certainly played his part last month too, scoring three goals and chipping in with two assists and the hitman added:
“We have a great squad and a great manager so teams will look at us and when they play us will be up for the challenge, but so are we.”
Owls team mate Sam Hutchinson added: “If he puts me on that teamsheet, I’m doing something right for him.
“We all understand his methods and he is great with us. Everyone loves him and it's good for us.
“I will always try to please the gaffer, the staff and the club.”
