Barry Bannan has hailed the impact of Scotland team mate Steven Fletcher.
Having made a strong start to the latest stage of his career with Sheffield Wednesday, Bannan believes Fletcher can go on to be a fantastic signing for the club.
The experienced striker has scored three goals this month, one for Scotland in their World Cup qualifier with Malta and two for the Owls.
“Fletcher is brilliant,” Bannan said. “His all-round game as a striker is brilliant.
“He can do everything, he’s good in the air, he’s strong, he can bring other people into play and he works hard. That is a big must for this team."
Along with the goals, Fletcher also claimed an impressive assist for fellow striker Gary Hooper on Saturday at St Andrew’s with an audacious backheel off the deck and Bannan continued:
“I don’t want to put any pressure on him but he’s a top striker and a big player for our team.”
