Carlos hails late, late show

24 September 2016

Carlos Carvalhal was delighted with the win after another game of late drama at Hillsborough as the Owls came from behind to beat Nottingham Forest 2-1.

The Reds took the lead against the run of play when Henri Lansbury’s long range effort was deflected past Keiren Westwood.

The Owls equalised when Kieran Lee headed in from a corner, before the midfielder marked his 150th appearance with a second goal in the last minute to grab all three points.

Carvalhal said: “If the players are trying to kill me, they are doing a good job!

“It is the same once again, we go behind when we are on top and should be winning the game.

“But this is football and when we go behind we need to start giving the right answers to the opponents’ questions.

“We deserved to win the game, the team who created more chances and had more of the ball was Sheffield Wednesday.

“We don’t want to go behind in games but sometimes this happens and it shows the character of this team when we come back and win.”
