Owls striker Steven Fletcher says he was delighted to register his first goal of the campaign.
Having fallen behind to an early Will Grigg strike, Fletcher showed fantastic composure to level the game just before the half hour mark.
Having scored for Scotland in midweek, his first goal for Wednesday has capped a good spell for Fletcher and he told swfc.co.uk:
“It’s always nice to get off the mark, I wasn’t really thinking about it too much. As much as score goals I just want to play well.
“If other players score the goals, then happy days, but it’s always good to get off the mark and I’m looking forward to Tuesday now.
“I have been pleased with my performances so far, I’m glad to get a 90 minutes as well under my belt and the goal tops it off.”
Fernando Forestieri’s second half strike sealed the comeback in an impressive display from the hosts and Fletcher added:
“I thought we played well. Obviously they got the early goal and it put us on the back foot but I think we handled that really well.
“We got back in the game well with a goal and I think from then, with the way we were playing, we were always going to go on and win it.
“It was a good game and good result. We have got good characters in this team and that’s one of the first things I saw when I came here.
“If we do go behind we have got the ability and character to come back and win games.”
