Owls duo in line for debuts

8 September 2016

Adam Reach and Urby Emanuelson could make their respective debuts for Wednesday this weekend.

Reach joined the Owls on transfer deadline day and has since worked alongside his new team mates during the international break.

A player who head coach Carlos Carvalhal says ‘can only get better and better,’ the winger will be hoping to hit the ground running at Hillsborough.

Likewise, Dutchman Emanuelson could make his bow for the club against the Latics.

The 30-year-old joined as a free agent and with a fantastic pedigree having represented the likes of Ajax, AC Milan and Roma during his career.

Wednesday have also welcomed back those on international duty, including Barry Bannan and Steven Fletcher, who shone for Scotland in their opening World Cup qualifier against Malta.

Keiren Westwood, Joe Wildsmith and Daniel Pudil are also back from their stint on the international stage.

Following his dismissal last time out at Griffin Park, David Jones will serve his one-match ban this weekend.

The Owls’ pre-match press conference will take place on Friday lunchtime and supporters can watch as Carlos speaks to the media at 1.15pm live on the SWFC Facebook page.
